HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I can’t believe it’s 2019 already…where did 2018 go? I feel like every year passes by faster than the last. I figure, before I start the new year on a clean slate, I should take a minute to reflect on the top 10 memories that shaped the last year for me.
10. My hometown hosting the Super Bowl and getting to partake in some of the activities – like the Bullseye Lodge, courtesy of Target.
9. Watching my speech writing skills come to life at Target’s Fall National Meeting.
8. Taking Makenzie to the Minnesota Zoo for the first time and seeing her awe and wonder at all the animals. Her favorites were the aquarium, the monkeys, and the penguins.
7. My first girls’ weekend at the cabin with two of my favorite co-workers who I can now call my friends.
6. Mackenzie taking her first swimming lessons with Chad.
5. Family trips to Houston to celebrate my niece’s high school graduation, and to Phoenix to visit my brother-in-law and his wife (and getting the news that Mackenzie will have another cousin in the spring!).
4. Labor Day weekend at the cabin with my family – it was the first time my parents made it and the first time my mom ever played bags – she was a natural!
3. Watching Mackenzie successfully make it down the aisle as the flower girl at my niece’s wedding.
2. Celebrating Mackenzie’s first birthday with family and friends.
Number one, hands down, all of Mackenzie’s firsts, including her first steps and her first words (sock, da-da).
I hope you all have great memories from 2018! Cheers to 2019!
